Do I have to book to visit Medbar?

Yes & No, it all depends on what you are booking for and when.

You do not need to book for just drinks and dancing unless you want to guarantee a table.

If you are booking for bottomless brunch then yes you will need to book, as brunch is bookings only. Please note our brunches sell out 2 weeks in advance.

If you are coming just for food &/OR drinks you don’t have to book as walk-ins are welcome every day, but it is advised to book on Fridays & Saturdays to guarantee a table. Especially if you have a large group.

Monday-Thursday you do not have to book for food or drinks as walk-ins are welcome.

Do you accept large group bookings?

Yes! Book for as many people as you like. We love large group bookings, the more the merrier. While a lot of venues will turn away large group bookings we don’t.

We accept large bookings for brunch, dinner, drinks & private parties.

Whether you want to book for 20, 40, 50 or 100 people… No problem, we can handle it!

Can I decorate my table?

Yes, you are more than welcome to decorate the table. The only things we don’t allow are glitter & confetti.

You can arrive 30 minutes before your booking to decorate the table.

How long do you hold tables for?

We will only hold your table for 15-30 minutes unless you message us to say you are still arriving.

After 30 minutes we will assume you are not attending and your deposit will be lost.

Please note: If you are late your time does not get extended.

Do you accept citizen cards as I.D?

No, we do not accept citizen cards as I.D. We only accept provisional license, full driving license or passport as valid I.D.

Is there disabled access?

Yes & No, our ground floor has disabled access and a disabled toilet. Unfortunately our upstairs does not have disabled access.

IMPORTANT: If you are booking a table with us for Brunch, Food or Drinks you must let us know beforehand that you require disabled access and facilities. This is so that we can make sure you are accommodated correctly and have a table that is as close and accessible to the disabled toilet as possible and also that your table is not upstairs or on a high table.

If you do not let us know beforehand this may result in us being unable to accommodate you if we are fully booked and all other tables are already full.

So please let us know in advance.

Are children/ under 18s allowed in the venue?

Children are only allowed in the venue during the week (Monday-Thursday) until 7pm and must be accompanied by their parent/guardian.We cannot have children/under 18s in the venue on the weekends or at our bottomless brunches.

What is your dress code policy?

Here at Medbar we have two different dress code policies, one for the daytime and one for night time. During the daytime we operate as a Bar Restaurant with a more relaxed dress code. At night time we operate as a Bar/ Nightclub where we have a more strict dress code policy.

Day time (Before 10pm): Smart casual policy

Allowed: 

  • Smart trainers
  • Shorts on warm/hot days
  • Smart tracksuits (Until 10pm, see below)
  • Hats (Until 10pm, see below)
  • Smart hoodies (Until 10pm, see below)

None of the below are allowed at all, even as fancy dress.

Not allowed:

  • No sports wear or brands
  • No football team clothing
  • No man bags

Night time (After 10pm): Smart casual policy

Allowed: Smart trainers, Smart shorts (not trackie shorts) on warm/hot days

None of the below are allowed at all, even as fancy dress.

Not allowed:

  • No tracksuits (No matter the brand)
  • NO HATS (Men & women) - No matter the style or type of hat. Hats are to stay off (Not turned around) in the venue.

Can I pre-pay the full Brunch amount for my table, before the day?

Yes! You are more than welcome to pre-pay the full amount for your tables Brunch.

This will make your life's and ours easier on the day, as it will mean we can let you straight in without having to take payment on entry.

Do you require Food pre-orders?

No! We do not require food pre-orders for Brunch, even for large groups.

People tend to forget what they ordered so it is easier to just take the order on the day.

If you would like to make the ordering process faster you are welcome to get your party to have a look at the menu beforehand to know what is available and what they may like to order.

Can I have extra people turn up on the day and pay full price to join my table?

No! Your table will only be for the size of the pre-booked number of people and only set up for the amount of deposits paid.

We need to know in advance if people are joining your booking so that we can correctly accommodate you.

No, everyone who attends Brunch must pay for the brunch.

There is plenty of drinks options on our menu to cater for everyone. Including non-acoholic options.

Can I keep my table after brunch?

You are welcome to stay as long as you like after Brunch for our day party with 2 FOR 1 Cocktails from 4pm until 8pm.

However, we do move tables after Brunch to create space for dancing or we may need the table for a later booking.

A member of staff will let you know if/when we need the table moved or for a booking.

Yes, cash is still an acceptable form of payment here at Medbar.

Paying by cash is quicker and easier on entry. You are also welcome to pay by card if you prefer.

Can I change my Brunch booking time?

No! We do not do multiple Brunch time slots, our Brunches are a set 2 hour time slot which start and end at the advertised times.

Unfortunately not, our bottomless Brunch is a set 2 hour time slot which starts and finishes at the advertised time.

If you arrive late you will lose out on time. We advise everyone to arrive 30 minutes before the advertised start time.

Our masterclass is hosted in our upstairs room and unfortunately our upstairs does not have disabled access.

Our downstairs room has Disabled access & facilities if you would like to visit us for food and drinks instead.

How can I find out if my lost property is at Medbar?

If you think you have lost any property in our venue you can visit the venue on Sundays between 1pm-3pm OR Mondays between 4pm-8pm to check our lost property.

Please do not attend any other time. If you attend when we are busy we will unfortunately not be able to help.

Please do not email or message us on social media about lost property, as all our emails and social media is ran by an offsite admin team and they will not know what has or hasn't been found at the venue.

We only hold lost property for two weeks. After this all lost property is donated to charity.

When can I collect my lost property from Medbar?

Disabled Access

Our ground floor has disabled access and a disabled toilet. Unfortunately our upstairs does not have disabled access.

We use our upstairs room for our Cocktail masterclasses, private parties and our second club room. We also use upstairs as an overflow room for our Brunch, so if you book for Brunch please let us know in advance if you need an accessible table and toilet.
