OUR PREPARATION FOR REOPENING

Medbar have carried out a venue risk assessment which includes COVID-19 control measures. 

Medbar’s venue has been internally and externally sanitised (using an external professional cleaning company).

Additional tables, chairs and furniture have been added and laid out throughout the venue to facilitate seating and social distancing.  

We have limited our capacity to ensure social distancing can be adhered to and better venue control. 

Hand sanitiser stations have been located throughout the venue for customers and staff easy access. 

The venue has been laid out with a one-way system in place.

All staff have been retrained with new government guidelines and Covid precautions in place.

WILL WE BE ALLOWED TO ORDER AT THE BAR?

Customers are not allowed to order at the bar, they must be seated at their designated table. It will only be table service. You can order via our contactless mobile app or our website.

We will not be accepting card payments via machines or cash; all payments will be processed via the mobile app and online.

WILL THERE BE A DJ?

Following guidelines there are presently no DJ for now. We will have popular playlists including various genres of music and hits for background music.

CAN WE DANCE?

No dancing for now (you must be seated at your designated seating area)

WILL CUSTOMERS HAVE LIMITED AMOUNT OF DRINKS?

There is no limit, but each customer will be managed individually as we have to follow licencing rules.

HOW WILL YOU ENFORCE OR PUBLICISE, GOVERNMENT ADVICE FROM 4TH JULY?

It is our responsibility to make customers aware of guidelines (which we will do through entrance signage, social media and website), but it is not our responsibility to enforce them. 

The designated staff member responsible for monitoring social distancing will also monitor groups and gatherings, taking account of any guidelines.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK A TABLE?

Yes, you must book a table and prepay deposit to guarantee your entry to Medbar. A door supervisor or a designated staff member will be at the door to control.

DO I HAVE TO BE ON TIME FOR MY BOOKING?

 

Yes, due to the reduced capacity and staggered arrival time you must arrive at the designated time your booth/table is booked for otherwise you risk losing your booking and deposit. Your time starts from the time you booked, not the time you arrive.

You must also provide all individuals full name, telephone number, date of birth and address. This is to aid with Track and Trace.

DO I HAVE TO MAKE A PURCHASE TO STAY?

Yes, due to the reduced capacity we expect all our customers to make a purchase and the table must be vacated once you have finished your drink/food so the table can be cleaned properly and offered to another customer.

HOW LONG CAN I STAY AT MY TABLE?

Tables are booked in 2 hour slots (minus 15mins cleaning), if you wish to book two back to back slots, you will have to pay price per head twice and this will be put towards your food and drinks tab.

Example:

Table slots start from 16:00 in 2hr increments until 22:00 (closing at Midnight)

£15per person per slot, prepaid via bank transfer (every individual MUST provide full name, contact number, date of birth and address)

Max 6 people per table

Single slots – 1hr 45mins (£15 per person)
Double slots – 3hrs 45mins (£30 per person)
Triple slots – 5hrs 45mins (£45 per person)

Deposits will be added to your allocated table (£15pp at the beginning of each slot) as a bar tab to spend however you wish (food/drink).

ARE HAND SANITISERS PROVIDED?

Hand-sanitiser stations will be available throughout the venue. These will be positioned at the entrance, the bar, outside toilets and at other locations for use by customers and staff.

WHAT PAYMENT METHODS WILL YOU ACCEPT?

To make payments you will have to download the Medbar App and make payments through the App or our Website. We are not accepting cash or card payments in the venue.

CAN I ORDER FOOD?

Yes, our kitchen will be open until 10pm with a full menu

IS THERE A SMOKING AREA?

Yes, there will be a designated smoking area.

WILL CHILDREN BE ALLOWED IN?

No, children or anyone under 18 will not be allowed into any of our venues until further notice.

 

We operate a challenge 25 scheme; therefore, you must bring valid ID (Passport or Photo Drivers License).

DO I NEED ID?

We ask that you hold your ID out for our member of staff to read and photograph it so they do not have to touch it to reduce transmission.

WHAT ARE THE OPENING AND CLOSING TIMES?

From Saturday 4th July our opening times are 4pm until 12am on Fridays and Saturdays.

CAN WE SING AND SHOUT?

No, government guidelines states to reduce airborne transmission we must ensure customers and staff to not raise voices.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT FOLLOW MEDBAR RULES OR GUIDELINES?

Medbar operates a zero-tolerance policy and will not allow any exceptions. Anyone (and/or party) found to be flouting any rules or guidelines in this document or else where will be removed from the venue without compensation. Also where applicable legal action and red/black card list action will be taken.
